We have eaten here a few times, the BBQ is very good without all the sauce. The sandwiches we've gotten in the past were drowned in sauce. Today we ordered to go without it and Loved it, we got the sauce on the side. The white sauce is my favorite. The beans are really good.
The food here is delicious! It's a hole in the wall joint in the woods, but as we all know, those are the best places to eat! Minus one star for the political talk while me and bae were trying to eat. Not sure if it was on purpose, but I chalked it up to the workers being young and naive. On my trip here, I had the small cheeseburger, onion rings, and baked beans. Everything is seasoned well and cooked to order, so expect to wait. There are 2 tables in the place, so get there early if you want to eat inside.
Fall off the bone ribs. Done just right. Fresh and friendly service. Great food!!! My dad loved it and he doesn't like most places. Will definitely eat there again.

If there was a perfect 10 rating, this place would get it. My father was the ultimate grill master, there was no BBQ restaurant that compared which is understandable, until stumbling into this shack. The staff, (they really cut up and enjoy their job) food, service AND pricing are excellent. In most restaurants, the small end of the ribs are cooked hard, near inedible, not so here. If you're lucky, you'll get to watch them break down a shoulder the way my father did, they grab it by the shoulder blade and shake it, most of the meat falls off. I could go on and on about it but you'd have to try it to understand. On SOME Saturdays, they do Burnt Ends, out of this world delicious, but call ahead, they run out quickly. It's worth the beautiful drive out to Margtet Alabama to enjoy, arguably, the best bbq around Birmingham.

I'm from MD. Let's start there. Nestled on top of the mountain, this is a spot that you almost might miss! having traveled 30+ states, and knowing culinary trained chefs, this is some REALLY good food. The staff is so nice I came back the next day. It's a MUST TRY if you're ever in Margaret!
